My apologies for not answering you specific question but I have a set of Scorpion ATR's on a Toyota Tundra truck, 4WD, and have put about 10,000 miles on them with no problems. Appear to be wearing well and are quiet too.

I'm currently working with Pirelli to get some money back - i think i must have a defective set. My ride (01 X5 4.4 w/19" wheels) is all over the road with these tires and have run through 1/2 of their usable wear after only 8,500 miles.
Pirelli has committed to refunding 1/2 and maybe even 3/4 of the purchase price (we are still negotiating), which is something, i guess as they say they don't have to warrenty them at all as they are a 'high performance' tire. Currently I've removed the Pirellis and am back to running my winter Blizzaks till i get this sorted out. We'll see how it works out... Also - those Scorpions are the scariest tire i've ever driven in the snow - i felt like an epileptic ice skater on a recent Donner pass crossing. |

I have my Scorpion ATRs now and they are just brilliant for my driving environment - fast gravel roads, muddy farm tracks, some easy off-road plus a wide mixture of sealed roads. So much better than the OEM Michelins although the Michelins are obviously designed as a road tyre and not a wide-spectrum on and off-road tyre.

FSETH:
I was running the Zero's - i guess i should have read the initial question a little more carefully as he was referring to the ATR's. Sorry. 54.4: Not offroading - Donner Pass is I-80. 6 lanes of terror that day... |

I ask because I recently bought some Vreds through the group buy here on the site, but at the last minute also ordered some Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico's because I was hoping to get longer life out of the Pirelli's. I decided to install the Pirelli's and I thought I too felt some minor wandering of the X with the Pirelli's on the highway. I chalked it up to the treads being new and very deep. I have an 02 4.4i sport package with the staggered 19's, just like you.
