Wheel balance???

I recently bought a set of rep. BMW 20inch wheels with 285 and 315 tyres. I believe that the wheel package came with cheap tyres. Since fitting the wheel i have had trouble once i got over 80km/h the steering wheels wobbles and feel a shudder coming through the seats.

I have had the tyres balance 3 times each at a different place have all said they are pretty good maybe out slightly.

Do you think they balance them at a high enough speed or are the tyres just crap and cant be balanced right.

Iv heard before that cheap tyres and be problems but just thought id check with the experts on the forum.

Also new to the forum just bought a 2006 x5 sport in black and loving every minute of driving it! love to hear from other members in AUS to see where they get there parts.

"Cheap tyres" covers a lot of ground...are they a brand name?

Here in the States, most of us look for a shop with Hunter brand
balancing equipment:
Wheel Balancers and Wheel Balancing Accessories from Hunter Engineering Company

Otoh, your reps may be out of round/bent, also; a slow spin with tire
on, and esp. with tire off, should show problematic eccentricity pretty
clearly.

Could be cheapazz tires, though I've had more problems with m'cycle
tires over the years, rather than car tires.

A conventional rule of thumb: if you feel it in the wheel, it is probably
a front tire(s)/front wheel(s) prob. If you feel it in your seat, it is
probably rear wheel/tire situ. My 50Cts...

Still with the same issues i have been reading through old posts and have seen some success with hubcentric rings with other rep wheels. The wheels have been checked to see if they are out of round and also balanced again but nothing. So i thought id check if anyone thought it may be the next step to see if i can solve this problem. cheers

Were they balanced on a Hunter 9700 machine? If yes and they are all good now i would look at some hubcentric rings, measure the inner wheel diameter and go from there.
