Hello all,
You will find that this new unit is maintains the elegance of the previous unit, without the negative side effect of lower than standard output.

What this buys us is 3 things:

1) External heat sink for longer life and the ability to go to a second generation even brighter solution than before. Right now, we'll probably run at 3.5W roughly, this is an engineering difficulty as it is for direct to unit installs, hence the external heat sink.

2) Wiring has been elongated to allow for 2 types of installs. Because the wiring is long, we will be able to set the "t-taps" straight into the turn signals of the existing plug. Tap/Tap and you're done. We'll have a little flyer inside the box - heck, probably on the box - and we'll be done.

3) Wiring - additional - now we have the optional wiring harness that we will sell for $50, added value for the customer in allowing them to wire the ICE for DRL or SWITCH operation.

Finally, the packaging has not yet been determined but will be no larger than the current PIAA LED boxes that we sell - about the size of an IPOD MINI box.

Colors will be available at the start - only about 5% will be red/blue the rest of the first 500 will be all white with 6500K color.

Additionally - I hear the 2007 X3 now has the "corona" rings in it, and I doubt that this lighting is all that different from any other headlight...but it could be a challenge. Also, I will be adding the 1-series as an option as it appears it too has the same lighting as the E39, E60, etc.
