▀▄ eas | XM Direct Satellite Radio Package for BMW & Mini **BLOWOUT PRICING - $175**

For those that don't already know - there is a parts freeze on BMW Sirius module with no ETA (nor any specific reason for the freeze) for release. For those that don't already know about our XM Direct kits - these offer the same exact features as the BMW Sirius kits - at about 1/3 the cost.

XM Direct will also be supported when the Sirius/XM merger is completed.

Satellite Radio is the radio of the future. In the past, BMW has restricted owners to only Sirius in their vehicle - this is not the case any longer. XM features over 160 digital channels - The Most Commercial-Free Music in Satellite Radio, over 30 channels of news, sports, talk and entertainment, over 20 dedicated channels of XM Instant Traffic & Weather, and the deepest Playlist in the industry with access to over 2 million titles!

Our XM Direct lets you use your factory radio display and controls to listen to XM with no need for a separate receiver mounted on your dash. The hide-away tuner box integrates seamlessly with your factory BMW audio system and can be hidden out of sight for a factory-like appearance. Kit includes XMDirect receiver, low-profile roof antenna and our BMW-specific interface that makes the kit plug and play.

XM Direct Features
- Retain your factory CD Changer or DICE iPod integration kit
- Store up to 18 different presets for factory-like integration
- Scan all subscribed XM stations using your factory SCAN button
- Artist, Channel Number/Name and Song Titles are displayed on your MID and OBC display

XM Direct Kit Contents
- XM Direct Vehicle-Specific Adapter with CD Changer connections for CD Changer or ice>Link Plus
- XM Direct Receiver
- Slimline Magnetic Antenna with 23-foot cable for placement
- Detailed Step-by-Step Instructions with photos

Compatible with the following vehicles:

For those Howard Stern , NFL (and NASCAR?) fans - XM also has the "Best of Sirius" package which offers the most popular Sirius channels readily available on your XM receiver:

For those looking into Satellite radio - there's no reason to wait.

Just reported today:

Sirius XM reportedly seeing rate increase this March

by Darren Murph, posted Jan 21st 2009 at 10:59AM

Sirius XM hasn't even been one for long, and yet we're already staring an impending price increase in the face. According to Sirius Buzz, company support representatives are now confirming to the general public that a rate hike will go into effect starting March 11, 2009. They're encouraging current subscribers to lock in their current rates for three years in order to be grandfathered in, but should you choose not to, you'll likely be paying $2 more for additional subscriptions and a $2.99 fee for the online internet radio service. If there's any good news here, it's that the latter fee will give you access to that oh-so-amazing 128k "premium" feed, though we're still left in the dark about any future channel expansions stemming from the increase.

Might want to lock in those subscription rates early.

Is there a module that can hook up XM and my ipod to my car without having two different kits?

Considering the OEM Sirius parts freeze, I'd like to know what the exact differences are from this unit. I understand that there is no scrolling. I heard that maybe when first accessed, the LCD first says "Sirius", then switches to say "XM". Please clarify when you have time, as I am very interested,

Greg

No, you will need these pieces to have both:

DICE - SILVERLINE iPod Integration Kit for X5 00-06 (Trunk Interface)
eas - 714.369.8524 | DICE - SILVERLINE iPod Integration Kit for X5 00-06 (Trunk Interface)

XM Direct Satellite Radio Package for BMW & Mini
eas - 714.369.8524 | XM Direct Satellite Radio Package for BMW & Mini

Afterwards, each will be selected as a separate mode on the radio.

Greg,

Those are pretty much the only differences.

I am considering installing the XM Direct package. Is there an install guide floating around? I'd like to know the difficulty level before going forward with it. My X5 is a 2006 with a build date of 2005/10, no NAV, Business CD w/ DSP equipped. I would really like to have SAT radio in this vehicle.

Any input, guidance or support would be appreciated. I've been reading up on stuff on this site for days - information overload, but thanks to all.

Cheers,
V.
