I bought this for my wifes 07 X3. I think it sucks! I have the original dice in my X5 and love it. Maybe its up to the user. It more complicated then the original.

And also, just so I am clear, if you are non-NAV and non-DSP you ought to get the radio interface, right? That would place the DICE unit below the driver's seat, right? Any other suggested locations for the DICE unit?

It's entirely up to you, the radio interface kits are a snap to install in X5 applications.
