▀▄ eas | Anodized Aluminum V1 Radar Detector Holder

With all these meets and events coming around the corner, it would be nice to have a mount for your V1 radar detector!

V1 owners now have a solution to those problematic suction-cup holders that fall off your windshield

Easily affixed to your mirror with included set screws, our V1 mounts are BMW-specific, not a universal "one size fits all" application. This securely holds the V1 and allows a direct, level line of sight for proper radar detection and keeps it in place - even in the event of an accident.

Our V1 Radar Detector Holders are CAD designed and CNC'd from machined T6061 aluminum for maximum durability. A black anodized finish gives a quality design that is welcome in your BMW.

V1 Radar Detector sold separately.

Specifications:

- Constructed from T6061 aluminum, anodized black
- Sleek, non-obtrusive view of your V1's display
- Secures V1 in centerline of sight, offering optimum detection and non-obstructed view
- Fastens securely to mirror with set screws and can be removed at any time

Models Supported:

2000-2006 e46 3-series, including M3
1997-2003 5-series, including M5
2000-2006 X5
2004-2009 X3
2004-2009 Z4/Z4C, including MZ4/MZ4C

Sorry, we only carry this design.

We manufacture this piece, there are no plans on design change as this would block field sight of the V1.

I don't think it will block field sight significantly since most people mount the V1 with suction cups in just that location. Could you send me a copy of the CAD schematic so that I can look into custom manufacturing a mount that would place it in that area?

Sorry, we can't do that.

Tom,

FYI. I think X5 Meister is talking about a bracket to hold the radar detector in this position. It works perfectly there as it is high up and there is no obstruction front or rear. (Ignore the remote above it -- I was just experimenting with positions for it).

I don't think that manufacturing a bracket would be that difficult. When I get time, I'm going to try to bend sharp edges into a piece of sheet metal and push it up into the headliner (to hold it).

That's exactly what I'm interested in. However rather than utilizing the headliner for support I'd like to have a bracket that uses the rear view mirror mount, just like the eas unit. Something with a semi-permanent mount setup that could only be removed with say an allen wrench would really be something, and I would think, a good seller.
