Have you guys tested it? How abraisive are the polish? Does it take out a layer of the clear coat etc?

We have not tested it on any company cars, but we do have a couple of employees who have used it (E92 Montego blue, E36 BRG, E46 Alpine) with great success. The key is not to over work the area. Any abrasive compound, sand paper, or even a polish if over worked in an area will start to take out the clear coat, this kit is designed to fill a scratch, then you sand the are to remove excess.
