Mura Car Accessories is on a distinguished road
Digital TV Tuner (DVB-T) for IBUS systems

We would like to introduce Mura Digital TV Tuner, a standalone module that integrates perfectly with existing OEM modules on your car. It is the first BMW digital TV tuner that is OEM compatible (you can control it from steering wheel or head unit buttons).

What it does:
Digital Television and digital radio reception.
Implements the DVB-T digital protocol.

Key Features:
  • Great reception while on the move due to diversity structure (our German clients tell us that even at 180 km/h there's no loss in signal reception)
  • OEM compatible (control from head unit buttons and steering wheel like a regular OEM module
  • TV in motion unlocked
  • Multimedia feature: record to and play from USB memory stick or USB hard drive (up to 1 TB)
  • Video Auxiliary input, so you can stream a movie from your iphone, connect a gaming console or a photo/video camera
  • The possibility of stereo sound
  • Support for rear view camera (NTSC or PAL)
  • Plug & Play installation if you already have analog TV (remove old analog module and plug in Mura Digital TV Tuner)

Advantages over other products:
  • Control from steering wheel and head unit buttons
  • Standalone module (no need for an existing analog tuner), built from scratch by us. Every component of this tuner is new, making it a safer bet for durability than other tuners which are based on your existing old analog module.
  • To our knowledge, there is no other product to offer these features at this price
  • The more expensive OEM BMW DVB-T "hybrid" TV tuner only offer DVB-T MPEG2, but ours supports both MPEG2 and MPEG4

Customize your tuner to your needs:
  • New features can be added on demand, for a cost. Furthermore, if we believe the feature would be beneficial to more people and decide to implement it on all future units, the extra-feature price can get really low.

Normally, the product price is 399 Eur (free shipping to European Union). But during the holiday season, we are offering a 5% discount.

  • OEM navigation (MKIII or MKIV) and OEM radio module (BM24 or BM54)
  • No need for an existing analog module on your car. If you've never had one fitted though, you'll need a retrofit kit (fitting a few cables and antennas). If you have an analog module, plug it out, sell it on ebay and get back a bit of your investment into the new module.
  • Compatible with 1999-2008 BMWs (IBUS systems) or 2003-2004 Range Rovers, again, IBUS systems only

  • You must be located in a country that implements the DVB-T digital protocol (the U.S., for example, use a different protocol, ATSC). We are currently working on a version for ATSC too.
  • Out tuner offers reception of free channels only. Some countries though broadcast mainly paid channels. Please consider what is available in your country and whether you're ok with that before making a purchase. And if you need help finding this out, we're here for that.

About us:

We are a recently created company based in Bucharest, Romania. We started out as a repair service for BMW electronic modules, but we later expanded into production. We are interested in actualizing our own ideas and turning them into functioning products that many people can enjoy.
Before going live as a fully fledged company, we've been acting for many years on ebay (username mirrtzi).

We decided to develop a digital TV module for BMW because there was no module to offer OEM integration, only those “general” tuners that you controlled with a remote control. After thorough development and testing, we are finally ready for medium scale production. At the beginning of this year our first digital TV tuner went on sale on ebay. Since then, many more orders came in and our product has reached Finland, U.K., the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal and Greece. Currently we have two stable distributors whom we've already built a close relationship with: one in U.K. and one in Germany.

Technical specifications:
  • Full compliance with HD DVB-T MPEG2/MPEG4 AVC/H.264 Standard
  • High Doppler effect correction
  • On screen channel information
  • OSD Teletext (DVB ETS 300 706) and subtitle function support (EU model)
  • VBI Teletext support (EU model)
  • Fast scan for high speed driving and cross difference area
Supported video and audio formats for playing from USB stick:
  • Video: RMVB,RM, Sorenson H.263 ,H.264,MPEG-1,2,4,VC1,Divx, Xvid, AVS, JPEG.
  • Remark: Some formats need license (for example Dvix, RMVB, AC3)
Receiving frequency range:
  • UHF 470MHz ~ 862MHz
  • VHF 174MHz ~ 230MHz
RF Input level: 81dBm ~ -20dBm
RF Input connector: SMB terminal x2
Antenna power: 12V

  • BMW 7er E38,
  • BMW 5er E39
  • BMW 3er E46
  • BMW X5 E53
  • BMW X3 E83
  • BMW Z4 E85
