BMW to Beat Lexus in US sales for 2011

BMW has been the number 1 luxury car maker in the world for few years, but it has been trailing behind Lexus in US.

Now for the first time since 1997, BMW may beat Lexus and Mercedes-Benz in overall US sales in 2011. BMW has already outsold both Lexus and Benz in first 6 months of 2011.

The new 5-series and the new X3 have helped BMW in increasing its sales by 13% in June 2011 over June 2010.

Mercedes is releasing new ML class and an updated C-class in 2nd half of 2011, which could give some boost in sales to Mercedes-Benz.
