So is this the strategically planned drive-by's of the test mules that Scott was talking about? I see Bimmers front and rear of the M3, so I assume they caravaned from Oxnard down to Newport. PCH down from Oxnard through Santa Monica, South Bay, Long Beach, HB, with a T/A in Corona Del Mar. I'm sure such a drive would stir up the curiosity of many car buffs.
Surely the purpose of driving into the OC has nothing to do with performance testing, unless they wanted to see if the M3 would overheat in L.A. bumper to bumper traffic. At this point in time, it's probably all for show and to get the salivatory glands working overtime for those awaiting the new M3.
