and believe that this is still the case for me... No question, performance wise the e60 M5 is totally awesome! But to this date I still cannot accept the exterior and interior looks of the new M5. And for this reason I decided to pass on the e60 and have been anxiously waiting for the new ///M3.

Ohhhhhh Adam... That's gonna be really awesome!!! I would love to take one for a spin... I would take the Hartge H50 V-10 5.0 over the e60 M5 if I had the money... Oh well, I'll just keep on dreamin....

I think it was a combination of things for him. Some good things, some bad but mostly a series of opportunities he couldn't refuse. As long as I've known him, Josh just likes to try new cars.

as I told kevin and others, the E39 had a major DME failure (shorted) along with a head failure. Was fixed under CPO warranty but at 60K miles (put 30K on it last year) it was time to sell since it left me stranded and wife wasn't too happy with it.. got $53K for it after it was fixed selling it private party. Also got $2500 off MSRP from my dealer on the E60. Guess you missed the post.

Driving dynamics wise, the E39 does not compare in pure power. Around time the E39 is better due to the flatter torque curve
but on the freeway, the E60 is a monster and will steadily walk away from the E39 above 100. The E60's is getting mods done as we speak. AA software, H&R springs and soon to come the first tubi exhaust for the E60 and hopefully headers and race cats. Shooting for about 570hp.
