Thumbs up 335i Coupe initial tune to 332whp!

Check it out!

There's too much to cut and paste here, but basically, a tuner in Cali picked one up a few weeks ago and started toying with it.

Excellent post! This is was an inevitability, but I didn't expect someone (especially Vishnu) to start trying to get more power out of it already. Nonetheless, looks like there's quite a bit more to be had in there.

Who is Vishnu anyway?
Nevermind, I looked at the site... mainly an Evo tuner. Cool to see them trying with the 335i.

Wonder if Turner or Bimmerworld will do anything with the 335i from a World Challenge, ALMS, Rolex, etc point of view.

Vishnu gets some insane power out of Evos. Insanity! I found it very interesting that they are getting into some German machinery.

Vishnu is one of the biggest premiere tuners for Evo's and STI's. Their Car and Driver Evo put out 650hp to the wheels. They are local to me and about 10 mins away from my house. These guys know what they are doing.

Automobile magazine dyno'd 2-335i coupes on 2 separate occasions. Their most recent article is here:

http://www.automobilemag.com/feature..._dyno_revised/

Their first 335i averaged 275 hp and 300 lb-ft. They estimated the engine's true rating to be in the range of 350 hp and 360 lb-ft. Their next 335i dyno tested at around 285 HP/285 FT-LB with a peak at 299.93 HP.

They got their first 335i to run the quarter in 13.6 seconds @ 104 mph. Smoking.....

And they're going to stick this engine in the X3? That could be a very nice daily driver...

The other thing with most BMWs, is that there's far less driveline loss compared to other brand vehicles..that's partially why the dyno numbers are so high.
