for me e30 m3 - to paint or not to paint?

So I am nearing undertaking the job of painting my red 90 m3. The question here is - should I paint the CF hood or not? I am leaning twoards painting it, but I would like some other input as well. The obvious main concern about painting it is that once it is painted, it's never going back. The rear shot is to help people get an idea of how the whole car looks, and how the CF either does or does not work with the theme of the car in general. All constructive comments welcome.
CF

Rear

Non-CF

Thanks for the input dudes,
Ted

paint it, unpainted carbon body panels were a trend and people are already moving away from it, painted looks cleaner especially on a bmw, & i think the lip still looks good carbon, i would leave that as is.

If you're tracking it, I'd leave it CF - it's free and it's racin' cool. If it's just a street machine, paint it - stealth light-weight hood... That's my $.02... Nice car, BTW...!

As much as I think real CF is cool looking, you've got to paint it. It's just so far from the rich and noble E30 M3 tradition. You've got a nice Evo look going so I wouldn't want it to look too fast or too furious. I don't know about you but I hated people who thought I riced out my E30 M3 and it was bone stock. Adding a CF hood would have really made people think I was trying to be a boy racer.

I don't know if you know about a fellow X5 owner here who has a very clean E30 M3. Check it out here. Full Evo interior, red seatbelts and all, plus the very rare glass moonroof.

What if you painted all of the hood except for a small strip from the roundel back? You would have the CF reveal without the street racer look.

Paint it except for the center where the hood is higher or paint the whole thing. I've never been a huge fan of cf unpainted, but it's really a matter of personal preference and the look you are going for.

Which ever you decide, it will look good... it's an e30 M3 afterall

Gorgeous car!, but unpainted CF hoods just look like a RiceBurner-Civic thing to me.
I say paint it!

Is that your Bimmer collection in the background?
