I think I might have read it in the roundel or in bimmer mag to a while back. I also remeber reading that the 5.0 V10 and 4.0 V8 were both derived directly from the V8 used in the racing M3 GTR which used a 4.0 V8 race engine which i think produced somewhere in the area of 500plus hp. But then porsche complained because they were getting killed and the M3 had to go back to the strait 6. Im pretty sure that was true. I read so much on cars that I forget where I read it and if it was rumors or fact.

Good point. All to often a simple question or counter point is misinterpreted as a challenge or dig when it's not the case at all.

hard to top e46 M3 looks, and all around performance
but the new one will definitely do it
specially now since a lot more pressure from RS-4, and upcoming C63

Are we talking about the front of the car or the lady driver? haha

I will keep my E46 for now. Can't seem to like the exterior enough ( perhaps with a nice Aero Kit ) but the interior to me is Horrible. When I drove the 3 series 335i - i had to lean forward to roll the windows up/down. You kidding me? They had it right for a while now and then all of a sudden they have a brain fart. You can't polish a turd and the interior is a turd.

They need to stay true to the //M3 and put in a sport not pseudo luxo interior. Its nasty and needs help!!

I don't care what HP the V8 will push out it will not make me like the interior.

I would love a real boy racer designed interior on the M3 like my friend's old E30 widebody M3 from high school that was how an M3 interior should be apponted not this new IDriveSMGWoodtrimlameass setup just simple clean functional and most importantly lightweight
