Depends on the speed of the vehicle, but it looks like the 3 took the crash relatively well. The bumper and front parts are supposed to end up damaged at higher speeds in order to absorb the impact. The important part is that the driver and passengers escape unharmed.

It's one of the guys from E90post. Apparently some old man made a left turn in front of him, with not enough room to spare.. The e90 hit the car, then the pole.

What i'm saying is that the E90 did not hit the car (with the old guy) and then the pole. Simply the pole, by avoiding the old man... |

I just thought I would mention that these cars are uber safe! I was in one in an accident that did $30,000 worth of damage and walked away with only a f'd up neck. My brother in-law got a cut on his finger. I almost cut off more than that for the damage he did to the car. I told him "The Germans called, they want their car back."
If I hadn't just recovered from someone rear-ending my month old X5 "F%&^#$%^" I probably would have been just fine. The idiot body shop kept finding more stuff wrong so my brother in-law got hosed. He got back a bondo'd rebent wreck. Needless to say I am now not afraid of airbags and a true believer in the safety of these cars. |
