Question E46 alarm/DRL/convenience top down/etc settings?

To any of you here with the E46 cabrio M3, I've noticed some curious things with the new one i just picked up:

* daytime running lights never come on

* the key fob unlocks BOTH doors with one click, instead of requiring TWO clicks

* arming/disarming the alarm does *NOT* flash the signal lights AND/OR sound the notification beep

* holding the key fob UNLOCK button does *NOT* activate the convertible top to lower as per the "convenience feature" explainined in the manual

Do I have to go to the dealer to have these taken care of?

ALSO: i noticed last night that the car jack and emergency "triangle" in the car's repair kit are missing.

needs to be programmed via the DCS. All part of your car-key memory stuff. BTW, they don't come with car jack or triangle (no spare tire!!!). It's in your manual dude.. read it...

at the dealer... the computer they plug it into for diagnostics and programming, etc. It's the same for the X5's and everything else.

Yea, they're part of vehicle/key memory settings. The warning triangle does not come on US-shipped vehicles. You have to do ED, and then remember to take it home personally, then put it back in at redelivery. OR you have to buy the BMW accessory part.

And yes, you do need a dealer visit to change the settings.
