Thumbs up Got to love an "M" car

Great purchase and an awesome deal. Keep the revs under 5K for the first 1200 miles. Once the 1200 miles service is completed, let it rip. Can't go wrong with that "M" motor.

Cheers

It doesn't matter if the light stays on or night - codes are always stored in the DME and can be read by the GT1. Just so long as the CEL doesn't flash, there are no driveability issues.

Not always true, mine wasn't stored.

Looks really good! Make sure to take a sanitization wipe and wpe down the steering wheel and the shifter because if people sat inside and touched the wheel and then sneezed on it ... eww... haha, have fun with it and don't get pulled over too often!

If the error does not reappear for 3 consecutive drives then the light will turn off, but no worries as the code will still be stored in the computer...

SES lights will stay on for a while, even if the problem is no longer occurring.

Either way, on a brand new car you should get it checked out...

Motor Werks - They've been very helpful so far - they have us scheduled for tomorrow morning to check out the problem.

It is only a yellow light - so will do a grocery run tonight and see if it remains. Good tip about the 3 drives

Motorwerks is a great dealer for sales and service. A fantastic service advisor is Brian Swenson.

Everything was taken care of Was several issues - one was low battery and one was gas-cap related - oddly enough they did some rewiring for that. They also did a computer reset and activated the bluetooth.

We took it for a trip afterwards and everything is ok Yay - lots of motoring to come - already have 800 miles on it
