is 3er ok for snowy winter?

hi im thinking about getting either 335i coupe or 335i hardtop, right now my daily is x5 and its great for winter here in canada but is the 3er gonna be ok?

safety is my first issue (perhaps the 328xi is better?) and im also worried about the car becoming a snow plower if snow is too deep cuz it gets like that sometimes on city and highway roads.

if the 3er aint gonna cut it my 2nd choice would be 07 x3, but i love the style of the 3 coupe
