So, now I get to, AGAIN, deal with the whole body shop expierience. Mind you I just got my X5 back from a $25,000.00 body shop visit from being rear-ended at 50mph.

Sorry, I felt the need to rant. Since you all shared in my misery when the X5 got smashed, I thought I would share.
Wow man I cant even imagine. Good luck with your M, but do you know where you are going to take it?

BTW I know about shitty drivers here, I almost got t-boned at BCC leaving the parking lot.

Let me know how the M repairs go... maybe some before/after pics?

Anyways take care man,

Austin

Oh not meaning to hijack but take a look at my x5 do you think it looks better than when you saw it that one day, any other suggestions?

Thank you guys.

To be a little more specific:
  • I have been in the car in 10 accidents 7 as a passenger 3 as a driver
  • The 7 previous accidents I was only injured about half of the time. All 7 times I was a passenger
  • The last 4 have been in the last 3 years. Three of which I was driving and rear-ended, One of which I was a passenger...
  1. I was rear-ended in the X5 when my wife was 4.5 months pregnant. I got whiplash, she had her placenta detach early causing my son to be born by emergency c-section because of health concerns for both my wife and son. He was born at 2lbs 11oz.
  2. I had just finished treating/healing from that accident when my stupid brother in-law went around a 38degree corner, in the wet, at 65mph, slammed into a curb, went through a chain-link fence, toppled 2 trees and broke another clean in half. All in his week and a half old 330i. There was $30,000.00 worth of damage.
  3. I had just finished treating/healing from that accident and just two weeks recovered from a knee surgery when I was rear-ended in the X5 again at 50mph causing $25,000 damage and 3 months worth of work to the X5, giving me pretty bad whiplash.
  4. I am still treating for the previous accident and a moron that almost caused another accident, 10 seconds before he hit me, rear-ends me at 3mph in the ///M5 because he was reading a book! This accident, luckily did not hurt me. If it would have, the claim I am making now for the previous accident would have been complicated as hell.
Oh how life can be entertaining...

EDIT

BTW The damage to the ///M5 is minimal. He put some dime sized gouges in the paint/plastic, cracked the paint in one place and loosened the black plastic trim.

Looks great, is it the smoked tail lamps and tint that have changed?

Also.

I can't do public transportation, I would put too many lives in danger and I can no longer ride as a passenger.

I am taking the ///M5 to either Metro Auto Rebuild in Seattle or R&R auto in Bellevue.

Yea, but I need a safe car, and I love to drive like nobody I know. I am somewhat of a car FREAK.

Funny thing is, so is my son. At 18 months any time he sees a car he points and says "car".

I live in seattle, well a city within "seattle" called bellevue.
I was in Pioneer Square. Between Post Alley and 1st Ave on Marion.

Yea, hummers just aren't my thing. Don't know why I only like the first Hummer. Now that is a truck.

Take some pictures, and fix up the bad boy. Any whiplash?

I was driving a week ago in seattle (I saw two X5s, both modded)...and man, they have a ton of traffic! (I was in a drk green jeep liberty, if ya saw me)

Hope all gets fixed and well.
Yea, Seattle does suck for traffic, and RAIN. I swear the last 3 months it has been sunny or somewhat sunny every weekday. Then the weekend comes and it pisses. ARG!!!!! &(#@$*%)(*
