I see the sensor (night-vision or cruise distance) is located between two of the kidney vertical bars. Interesting. In the past I read about a test of a Lexus that put on the brakes automatically when the cruise sensor detected a 'crash situation'. The driver was heading for the slalom cones and the car came to a screaching halt because it thought the first cone was a solid object about to hit the front! I haven't heard about this happening on the bigger Mercedes and BMW 7'er. How do carmakers avoid, lets say, a big bug, or leaf hitting the sensor and causing braking?
