It was a good indication, but not necessarily a given. Remember the e46 M3 never had the updated grill and headlights that the later e46 3 series had. So there was a chance that the M3 sedan and regular 3-series sedans could have had different grills.

IMO this new grill design looks much better.

I've seen the E90 M3 pictures at the BMW.com web-site. It seems they spot the current E90 tail lights.

BTW, what month does the model year 2009 of the E90 begin?

Are the tail lights accurate in the photos you attached today LeMansX5? I thought they were going to be more L-shaped?

So they moved the top of the grille back where its supposed to be, that is, NOT on the hood.

The taillamps look like they came off some old Citroen (or some other European car). The rear end of the E90 is terrible as it is.......c'mon it needs a major overhaul!
