Any car will look slightly outdated when sitting side by side with a new model. The test will be what your opinion is when you see those 2 cars sitting next to each other 20 years from now. IMO, the e46 int/ext styling is timeless and it still looks great sitting next to the new e92. Many people feel that the e39 was the best 5 design, the e38 was the best 7 design, and the e46 was the best 3 design of all time. All of those cars looked strikingly familiar only in different sizes. It really wouldn't surprise me if 20 years down the road this is still the general opinion. Don't get me wrong, I personally think the e92 looks bad a@@, but the e46 is still a hell of a car and a design that will stand the test of time.

That is at Daniels bmw in Allentown, Pa. I was on the way back to school today and its right off the highway so I decided to stop by and see if they got an M3 in. As the pictures show they did. The car is absolutely gorgeous, if you haven't seen one in the flesh yet most definitely do so. IMO it is on a different level than the e46.

I saw a AW M3 on the way to The Crossings in Tannersville,Pa yesterday. I literally got the goosebumps when he pulled next to me, I was doing about 100 in the X5 when he pulled up in the right lane, I looked over and gave him a thumbs up, he gave one back and went off. Sounded amazing, also he had NJ plates. At first I thought it was a 335 when he was coming up from the rear and the I saw the hood and immediately knew what it was!!

Then, I drove straight to the dealer and put my deposit down!

By the way, why did BMW cheap out and not design a new wheel for this completely new car? I liked those wheels on the e46, but I would expect a new design if I were buying a new M3. If I am wrong and they are a new design, then they are way too similar to the e46.

Different wheels E46 had Style 67 M and the E90/92/93 has style 220 M. Just a little similar.
