E90 LCI is ho-hum.

I saw the new facelifted E90 3er sedans in person today. I really don't like the taillights, the front is mildly improved, and the interior is well, normal. Meiac really likes the Chestnut leather interior, but other than that, there's not much to report. It wasn't the vast change I was really hoping for.

Sorry for the mediocre mobile phone pics. I'll bring my camera tomorrow.

Buy a 2008. Tons of them left on dealer lots. I would know, because I work at a dealer now (I drove every non-SAV BMW today). And if you're curious about the diesels, no word on that yet.

Are these the pics at the dealer you work?

Looks better than C-class IMHO.

The mirrors look fat.

I think they look a lot better, with the exception of the wheels.

Neue Bilder der Autos

The mirrors might be less stylish, but definitely a more appropriate size. The old ones were too small and created annoying blind spots. Sadly, the turn indicators are still red. Angel eyes/Corona Rings come standard regardless of halogen or bi-xenon.

You can definitely guess where I work from the pics.

If anyone cares, you can go to www.cars.com, and do a new car search for zip code 22911. Most of the cars that have pics (like all the M3s) have pics that I did. Heck, I washed the two black ones! I take pictures that allow the buyer to see what options are on the vehicle, so just doin' my part to make things easier.

Big rearview mirrors, like the high hood on new 7, is also part of DOT rulings.

I like the pre-facelift cars better. The only thing that looks better now is that the top of the kidney grills are not integrated onto the hood.

Otherwise the tail lights don't look better and the front spoiler sags down in the middle too much and looks Audi-ish or like the front of the car has melted or something. I also don't like how the hood lines form a v-shape now, instead of the smooth hoods on the older version.

It wouldn't make me jealous if I had an earlier version. That is for sure.

I really like the chestnut. It reminds me of Tanin, without being "radioactive red" too badly like coral...
But like the big bailout, thats old news...

Can I order up a new one with wash&polish swirls?! ...

Actually, pretty cool part-time job, Matt!
I like the "red" interior; if I win a lotto I might be able to
buy another new car in my life.

Actually, I'm not one of the detailing folks. I'm with sales and help out the Internet Manager. In order to take photographs, sometimes I have to take the car out back and wash the cars myself. Dark colours dont photograph well with a layer of pollen on them.

The dealer is so small, it doesnt have an automatic scratch mach--err I mean car wash. It's all done by hand, and believe me, washing a car in a shirt & tie isn't the most brilliant thing to do. I'm not supposed to ask the detailers to wash the cars because "they're too busy doing service customers' cars".

Not bad for a college student. Beats swiping cards at the dining hall or pool.
