All I have to say is WOW...I test drove the VAC Motorsports 135i about 2 months ago when it was bone stock and a cool ride. I took it out again yesterday after Tony Salloum owner/tech/BMW genius had adjusted the boost which dynoed at an extra 44 hp AT THE REAR WHEELS and I believe 75 foot pounds of torque. I hit the traction control button to have a little fun and let me say that this little bimmer is a monster! VAC is currently selling "tii like" graphics and body kits as well as a whole host of performace upgrades for the 135i. I have to say it was the most fun I've had driving a BMW in a long time...now I am waiting for my brother to throw me the keys to his new 2008 911 turbo, that would put a perfect ending on my week in driving

What did they use to modify the N54? Are they working with Helix since they're also local, another company, or doing it all on their own?

Guinness I am not sure exactly what Tony did, all he told me was that he simply adjusted the turbo boost. I really don't know a lot about the new computers and on board diagnostics. If you call Tony at VAC he would be more than happy to fill you in on the details, the guys at VAC are super cool and love to share their wealth of knowldge regarding BMW tuning.
