I remember last year the training facility in Atlanta had a diesel version of the E70, E60 and E90...! I'm kinda disappointed they didn't implement them sooner. (why would they train US techs on them if they aren't coming to the US)

The 20d is a ripper. Even in the X3 it's great, even better in the 3 Series and almost a performance engine in the 1 Series.
As for a diesel 5 Series in the North America, won't BMW just use the 35d on the grounds of parts/service practicality?

And the fact that they already have that one set up for US emissions... which is one of the reasons the diesels weren't here before.
