Sounds like someone has modded the mk4 mate, the mk4 will only work with 1 language at a time, so the FRE (female) and only be loaded once, sounds like someone has modded the OEM laguage files from there original to be all FRE (for some reason).
What other languages are in the language fields?? To change the languages, use navcoder to reprogram the OE settings, or put an OEM v32 disc in and "update" the firmware, to overwrite the modded config.
