Agreed. Great move to keep it more of an enthusiast car. If the next M is going to be a turbo as well, this may become the bigger M cult car.

Where are you hearing manual transmission only? I was at Ofest and asked Martin Berkmann about the engine and transmission and his lips were very tightly sealed.
