Review for the 3 Series Fans...

From Saturday's WSJ...isn't C&D, et al, but Dan Neil is a helluva good writer, imo.

I usually Cut & Paste complete arts, but this 'newly revised Board protocol' does not allow me to C&P arts anymore. :>(

somehow Neil always manages to sound so elitist, both in his writing and on Speed Channel's short-lived "The Car Show." though I'll certainly take one of his reviews over anything Consumer Reports puts out - god they're crap.

haven't had a chance to get in the new 3 yet, but did spend a week driving a 2012 528 with the new turbo 4. nice car, superb motor. smooth, torque down low - certainly adequate for city driving, but didn't get a chance to take it on the highway. the auto stop/start certainly gets your attention the first time your revs die at a set of lights, but re-fires and is ready the instant you come off the brakes. would love some seat time in a new 328 with either sport auto or 6-speed for comparison. comfort access and A2DP bluetooth audio streaming from my phone are such convenient features. as is the peace of mind at start-up knowing that when the temps go below 32, the CCV isn't frozen

I've seen the new series and it was pretty cool.
