Trade into an E60 M5? Trade my M5 for an X5M?

Hello all,

Seems like a very nice forum you all have here. Much like the attentiveness and community I am used to over at M5Board.com!

I've been consindering for some time trading in my M5 for an X5M, and it's been a very difficult decision for me but one I must look into. I'm new to this forum as I don't own an X5 (as of yet), so forgive my newbie status lol

Anyways, for one, would any of you do this? Get rid of a wonderful V10 supercar for a more sensible AWD suv? Am I crazy? Will I be happy with the X5M?

A little background... I'm in my mid 30s, so no racing or anything like that for me. I am a car guy and appreciate nice things, but as a newlywed guy, I also know starting a family is on the horizon. Also, geographically, I now live in a hilly area that is subject to snow, so AWD is necessary. Id like to be able to shrink down the four car fleet I've got going on by selling my winter ML truck and M5, for an all year rounder X5M.

Before I ebay/cars.com the M5, I thought I'd ask everyones opinions on here. Would anyone do the oppisite? Go from the X5M to an M5? I'd consider a trade which Ive never done before, if there were any interest. My M5 is a two-owner car (I'm the 2nd) and its spotless. Bone stock, well maintained, two inch thick manual full of receipts, services, and oil analysis reports. About 85,000 highway miles with the SMG 7 speed gearbox. No CELs, no issues, fully optioned. Silverstone on silverstone, every available option except soft close doors and adaptive cruise.

Thanks in advance for the input. Trying to see where I stand before I make any moves.
