THE PLOT THICKENS....

So I decided to call another dealer who I have a relationship with but unfortunately is 3000 miles away.
- I told him my story about the deposit and paying my registration on the 7 series...

He told me.. "I have a car if you want it AND I'll cover your registration payment and shipping costs... 1st allocation car, it's built, waiting on delivery."

Silverstone Metallic
Black Merino
Cold Weather Pkg
Driver Assistance Pkg
Premium Sound
Power Tailgate
Comfort Access
High Gloss Roof Rails
Piano Black Trim
Satellite Radio with 1 year sub.
Launch supply

Should I get it?

If it had everything I wanted I'd go for it - if it was missing something that I would possibly regret later I'd consider waiting to get exactly what I wanted.

I rarely have good experiences with dealers so it's nice to see another dealer come through. Sounds like you may have a sweet deal on your hands pal. I don't quite understand why the wheels wouldn't be an option

You can try some other dealers closeby as well. Market is not that hot for X5 M. I stopped by a dealer on my drive home and he is giving $2400 off. Right now market is for under $45k cars.

I would try calling other dealers. Those options seem to be the standard ones BMW is sending to the dealers. The colors vary though. So far I've heard silverstone or black and none have the full leather and ventilated seats. That's a deal breaker for me.

I called my dealer recently and they had no waiting list at all. I'm supposedly getting the second allocation (or 1st that I can actually choose options on). So, I'm hoping to get a nice discount on mine as well.

$2400 off on the X5///M? As in $2400 below MSRP?? You sure he's not yanking your chain?

Not yanking chain.. I've gotten 1 offer thus far,
$2500 MSRP (But it's cross country..)

And a second offer, (a lot closer.. But still a 1000 mile drive.)
$1000 off MSRP for a car to be built in Oct. I might fight to get this build if the dealer will go down more...

But I'm still fighting to get closer to $500 over invoice.. I don't think I'll hit that number, but I think I can do better than $2500 off.

Remember gang... We set the prices on the X5M based on what we are willing to pay. The dealers can ask whatever they want and some won't sell... But a lot of dealers are desperate to move inventory.. Even new ///M models..

There are some dealers that are still sitting on 08 ///M5's and the 2010 models are out.

I am sure...I have known him for a while and bought few cars. This is 2009, not 2007. $80k+ cars are not selling like they used to 2 years ago. Over $10k on Porsche 911. Its just the market these days.

What do you think BMW is going to do with the lease rates? Money factor and Residual?
