X6M over X5M

You really think the X6 is a better looking vehicle?? It's one of those things you either really like or really hate, and I have to say the latter! It's a crossover! Not a car, not a van, not a wagon, not an SUV...just something undecided in-between. Every now and then, manufacturers create a fad and while it may be hot when it comes out, nobody could care less about it in a couple of years. It belongs in the same category as the Infiniti FX. If you don't need the cargo space and you don't have kids, then why get somethng that looks like a big beefed up car that's jacked up! Get an M5 instead. Otherwise stick with something that's going to be a classic SUV/SAV and one that will smoke the pants of any other...including the Porshe Potato Turbo

And while you're at it, get custom plates that say PRSHETR!

Ditto, go with X5M ! Not to mention it will probably hold better resale value down the road than X6M...

And X6 has less cargo room...

And the 5th seat... Dont forget the "utility" factor.

Last thing... once you get X5M at your door, you will forget about this "decision"...

Because he doesn't like it. The resale value down the road doesn't matter anyway. Just one of the joys of leasing. The residuals must be close for both X5M and X6M, if not the same.

^^^^ ...Of the actual X6 owners that i personally know...the majority are women, from Wall street to entertainment industry types...some with kids some not.

While I am not in mkt for either, (or any new car), I'm with you:
for what I suspect you use it/need it for, I vote for the X6M!
