At the dealership where I bought, I'm actually working with the owner. I'm pretty confident he knows what he's talking about.

I did call the 1-800 number, they said that once the car has left the factory, they can no longer track it, it is then the dealership that has the information.

The last thing the 1-800 automated answer said was, "vehicle was at port of exit.."

...I'm kind of confused myself..

A) Dealer says, Mid-Oct.
B) Voice at BMW says, Dealer can track but she can not cause car is no longer with factory.
C) Automated machine says, "vehicle is at port of exit"
D) Website says, "At preparation center"

It couldn't be anymore confusing.
