Something like this is what I'm looking for.. (Thanks HIRISC)
in black.

If I have to buy mats, might as well be the ones with the ///M rather than just the generic BMW.

No trouble. Let us know if you find the black version for the X5///M. Me thinks they might not be available yet.

STICK with OEM IMO on any carpet mat.

I've been through it all, and the density/pile depth of the OEM carpet is purrfect IMO (aesthetics aside).

PSA: Beginning with 12/4 production, BMW X5's have floormats installed at the factory, at least temporarily. Apparently, enough customers have complained about the lack of floormats that it's affecting their JD Power's scores, so they're trying this to help mitigate the issue. Again, it's not permanent (yet).

Dealer put mats in my X5M. Looking at the custom digitfit plastic mats. Would someone confirm that the 2010 X5M would use the same mat as the 2010 X5.

Thanks

Do you mean the BMW, custom molded floor liners?

These are just rebranded WeatherTech floor liners, and yes, the regular X5 liners fit.
We ordered these from weathertech (before knowing there were BMW branded ones - the price difference is negligible) for our X6M, and just ordered the regular X6 ones - they fit perfectly, and work VERY well. I like the raised lips on the sides - it actually does protect the carpet lying underneath really well.

+1

I did the same thing.. had a coupon for Weathertech.. good quality and very good fit. I took the Weathertech advertising, er emblem off the digi-fit floormats.

Weathertech's website just indicated 2010 X5, not X5M, but they are the same.

WeatherTech Automotive Accessories - FloorLiner? DigitalFit ® - 2010 BMW X5 - WeatherTech FloorLiner - car floor mats liner, floor tray protects and lines the floor of truck and SUV carpeting from mud, snow, water and dirt

FWIW, I also bought the rear cargo area cover - very nice fit and there are cutouts for the tie-downs.

Thanks. Bought the formfitted mats and cargo area mat. I have them in my wife's car and they work very well.
