What's everyone doing for a winter set up?

Curses! It's SNOWING here already!!!!

Anyone looked into winter wheels/tires yet?

I am wondering about the possiblity of going with a 19" wheel, but not sure if this will clear the massive front brake rotors.....

Anyone know if the regular X6 20" rims will fit the X6/5M?? I read in a couple of places that they will, but I am hesitant. I'd rather a set of 19s, with a narrower tread width.

Sigh..... wish we simply lived in a place with a nicer climate......

I plan to use the Pirelli snows on the stock X6M rims, then get the black type 215 21" wheels for summer use. If you are concerned the 315s are to wide, you could run the 275s all around...

I ran my M5 with 255 snows all around instead of the 285s on the back, and it worked well.

Yep - saw those, but they're in the UK

Shipping might be a little..... costly

Anyone know what the offsets are for the wheels, front and rear? I tried searching, but to no avail.

thanks!!

Winter? Where I live, that means it gets cool enough to wear a jacket at night. I think I will leave my wheels as is.

This is certainly a great set up, but the dealer apparently wants CDN$5000 for it!
I have priced out a 19 inch set on Tire Rack, that fits the XDrive50i. I am just worried that this wheel's inner barrel won't clear the brake caliper (15.6" rotors are significantly larger than the XDrive50i).

Anyone shed any light?

Thanks!

At the moment, the X is still on the 20's. That's about to change soon though. that's going to be a sad day, as the car just won't look right...even after I have the winters powdercoated black as well. Stinks.
