Keep in mind I'm in Canada and the pricing structure here is quite different from the US. It would be less expensive for you to find one locally. It will cost you about 1.25 times more in Canada.

I understand what you're saying regarding the difference between your situation and Trips.

The way to calm yourself down is to look at this in the same light as any other technology purchase. As SOON as you jump on something, there will be something a little faster, shinier, sleeker, and just plain BETTER a few weeks later.

It's basically a certifiable way to drive yourself NUTS. Whatever latest toy you acquire will only be state-of-the-art for a short time. So with that in mind, there is no way in hell I would take the hit you mentioned and dump a fully loaded, basically new 2008 4.8i.

I would enjoy it for all it's worth, as if it were still 2008 and the X5///M has not yet come out. And only when you get to 60,000 miles or so would I start seeing what is state-of-the-art at that particular time and planning my next move. But that's me...If you've got cash to burn, then go for it.

2012 M5 will have more HP than these X///M.
Porsche is also working hard to get a faster Cayenne out.
