So, the wifey needs a new car. She's on her 2nd FX35, and wants another (I already tried to push her into a X5, not the biggest fan of it - I know, she's crazy.) I call my dealer who I bought 3 Infiniti's from. The MSRP is $50,XXX. He priced my car out at $46,XXX to me. Money factor is good, residual sucks, but ok. Fill out your name, etc...and these following certified low-price dealers will contact you. Low-and-behold, my dealer happens to be the lowest certified dealer, yet he wants to charge my more than 5K more than the "eBay" price. I received an instant email from eBay telling me whats next. Print out your certificate (with all color's and options as spec'd,) take it to your dealer, and with no apparent hassling, walk out in 60 minutes with your new car (it actually says 60 minutes as part of the certification process for the dealers.) And, if you want to change the options, the price will remain the same relative to the option cost.

SO...I played around with auto makes and models, and found the BMW section. You can tell which cars are not moving, and which are. The Lexus RX450H was only discounted at $750.00 below MSRP (no incentives, no nothing.) Yet the Volvo XC90, discounted 10K off MSRP, around $500 over dealer "net."

I took the Infiniti from my dealership yesterday for an extended demo so the wifey can use it for a few days and will return it on Tuesday, with my eBay new car price certificate @ $5K lower. Let's see what happens.
