Red Brakes?

Has anyone investigated getting colored brakes, or should I say calipers, on their x5M, either offered through BMW or aftermarket? It seems Porsche offers several options and I like the added look it gives to the vehicle. Any thoughts?

I don't believe BMW offers different colored brakes so you'll probably have to take it to a shop to get it done properly - or you can paint them yourself.

Not yet. But there are performance parts with cross drilled rotors.

I like the calipers in this pic below and the wheels are different too. Very 'modern' looking but can you imagine trying to clean the brake dust off these things?? Even if you had a brush and wheel spray, it would still be a major pain in the rear, literally!

Wow! What wheel design is that in the second pic? I haven't seen that one on a production model.

LeMans,
Where are you seeing these performance parts? They wheels are cool. I really like the blue caliper with the drilled rotor. Not sure I would spend that money on a SUV but I like the look. Where did you see them?

Thanks

The pics are from concept X6 release, full size posted in X6 forum. X6 & X5 performance parts are out now.

Where? I am unable to find them anywhere on the web. I went to BMWUSA.com for accessories and performance parts.

Not a factory option but not a very difficult thing to have done either.

The calipers have very smooth surface and they are painted black from factory. To paint them red should be very easy job. There is also enough room if you want to put the BMW decals. I would paint them BMW blue color.
