That's OK, the sensation was real enough. I don't think I'll be going that fast again haha.

Honestly, the thing goes up to speed so fast I wasn't accelerating for more than a minute it seemed like (started at 100). And guys, not to hate, but what's the difference between racing on a straight highway with no one on it vs. on a track? Deer can still jump out, things can still break, I guess the only thing different is the cop factor, but I'm guessing at that speed they would never even turn on the cherries...

Honestly guys, there was no one coming or going except me and the GTO. I have SOME sense you know.

I think people just meant that a car can sometimes appear out of no where and in a blink of an eye, someone can get hurt or even worse it can be fatal. The car can be replaced, people can't. At least on a track, there is an element of control (less risk and doing it where its designed for it).

And you know, there's something about owning a $100,000 vehicle that requires a little "investment" every now and then haha

I agree. In my case, I had a long multi-mile hill gradual hill descent, there were no exits, there were no oncoming cars, there was no one in front of me so I punched it. Totally safe. I won't be the first guy to wreck an XM ha!
