Pwned an M3 / GTO

Ran into an M3 on 294 south side of Chicago, we both hammered it at 80 and I got a full car length on him in less than .1 / mile.

To beat an M3 in an SUV is pretty incredible.

Later that night raced a 6.0L GTO same deal. Much higher top end in that race, got up to 165.

I think it was an e92, some punk kid I have NO idea how he got it. Couldn't drive it worth a damn either, he kept trying to take holes that didn't exist and I kept flying by him haha

Rleestma - how is your topspeed not governed at 155 as spec'd? Sorry if this is a repeat question.

M's are not governed at 155 like the regular x5 / x6's... The badge on the back said M3 as did the fender scoops

According to the BMWUSA.com website - the specs for the X5M show 155 as the electronically limited top speed. I was just wondering why this was not accurate - check it out for yourself. I am just about to take delivery on my X5M to replace a 4.8 - not planning on going that fast, just curious - thanks.

Well, I've got an X6M maybe they raised limit based on aerodynamics vs. the X5M? I can assure you what I saw on the HUD...
