$15,000 Market Adjustment

I was in the dealership on Saturday and saw a X6 M on the floor. I looked at the sticker and it was $89,XXX. When I sat inside, I saw another little sticker on the outside of the windshield. I looke it and it showed a price of $110,000, $15,000 of which was a "Market Adjustment". WTF?

I was Global Imports in Atlanta. Are these people nuts? Has anyone else seen mkt adjustments on the X M's?

They are delusional, or just hoping someone will be stupid enough to pay it. I was quoted $1500 over invoice for an X6 ///M.

For that price, it better come with integrated smartphone attachment..

It's a must have option.

I went with my father the other day to purchase a Camaro RS for my mom (she has always wanted one). Arrived at the dealer, had a black/black with grey racing stripes on the lot. MSRP on the window was 28995 at arrival. Went in, discussed it a bit, came back out to drive it. When got back to the dealer, looked at the window and they had added a $5000 dealer prep and delivery fee. I laughed at the salesman. I told him, I didn't even pay sticker for my X5M. Why would I pay a $5000 mark up on a Camaro.

Remember the '84 Fiero had a $2500 ADM (additional dealer markup).

The X6M I bought had a 10k market adjustment on it. I ended up at about 1000.00 below MSRP when all was said and done. That 10k "adjustment" was removed from the mix about 11 seconds into my opening conversation with the client adviser...

...they're just looking for the impulsive sucker...
