No Guzzling?

For giggles today I was configuring an M5 on the USA Site.
Comparably equipped X5M and M5 are almost identically priced.
But the M5 gets hit with a $3,000 Gas Guzzler tax. How did the X5M dodge that one?

What is the Gas Guzzler Tax?

Yep, SUVs are classified as trucks and are exempt from the guzzler tax - it might even be based on the weight of the vehicle. The other M models are not so lucky (M3, M5, M6).
