Thank you. I ordered my X5 M last week, estimated delivery date (Germany) is March 1st 2010.

Specs:
Saphire Black
Black interior
X6 M wheels (M 300 ?)
BMW Individual High End Audio System
BMW Individual Sun Protection Glass (tinted)
Navigation Pro System
6-DVD changer
Panorama Roof
4-zone Climate Control
M Driver's Package (speed limit raise to 275 kph or 172 mph)
High Beam Assist
Top View Camera
USB Audio Connector

Speaking of how "wanted" the X5 M is in Germany: looking on the german BMW website for used or new X M models, one can find 13 (!) X6 M available at dealers but not a single X5 M. Apparently the X5 M is very appreciated because of its "understatement" looks, something very important in Germany. I live in Bavaria, there are tons of X5s driving around, the X5 M blends in perfectly. The Cayenne was a different story and considering the fact that the Cayenne had a very bad public image (gas guzzler, the most environmental unfriendly car on the planet, etc.) and reputation, the X5 M is just perfect for our society. Nobody really thinks that BMW put 555 horses into a "regular" X5. Perfect undercover rocket.

Its nice you can spec car like that in Europe.
Undercover? Understatement? is it because they were burning nice cars in Germany earlier this year?

I just sent an email to my sales person, requesting a change of options. He is going to be back from vacation on January 7th, so I don't know yet if the changes are still possible without delaying the delivery time (which wouldn't be acceptable for me).

Here is the new option list:

-Saphirblack metallic

-BMW Individual extended leather Criollo Brown

-M Wheels Double Spoke 300 M (also known as "X6 M" wheels)

-Climate Comfort Windshield

-Rear View Camera with Topview

-Panorama Sunroof

-Sun Shades for rear side windows, manual

-Comfort Seats front, electr. adjustable

-Skibag

-Interior Carbon Leather "stripes" (sorry, don't know the right word for it)

-Deactivation Airbag co-passenger seat front

-TV Receiver (Digital/Analogue)

-DVD Rear Entertainment System (TV programs can be watched in the rear, even during driving)

-USB-Audio Interface

-BMW Individual High End Audio System (16 speakers, 825 Watts output, DIRAC)

-BMW Individual Sun Protection Glass (strongly tinted in the rear)

-Navigation System Professional with integrated Bluetooth Interface

This is how my X5 M will look alike (if the changes go through):

Beautiful combo.
Like the Black with the Brown.
You will definitely have a unique car.

Does the BMW Assist Connivence Plan include ConnectedDrive (BMW's name for full internet)? or is it just the google feature?

I'm not entirely certain, but I think it's just the Google search feature. I was in hand-to-hand combat on one of our clogged freeways when I called to enable BMW Assist, so some things may have gotten lost while I swore at my fellow drivers.

In Germany, it is FULL internet over EDGE (unfortunately not 3G).
Don't know about the US but I suppose it isn't much different?
The iDrive knob is used as a mouse for surfing the net.
