RPM while idling...

I noticed at idle my RPMs are sometimes just below the 500 RPM mark and sometimes it's a little above like 600-700. Does that happen on everyone's car?

is it relative to engine temp, aircon on/off etc?

Hmm, don't think it's related to engine temp. I'll have to see if the AC makes a difference.

Just wondering what other people's cars idle at.

could also be whether your car is in gear, cold start and whether you just ran the car hard.

I'm talking about at a stop in 1st gear or park and after the engine is at operating temp.

Seems like my rpms are usually around just under the 500rpm mark. Just wondering if that's normal.
