Its car design issue and the design has not changed, so the problem is still there.

For sure if you lived on a part if the country that doesn't see snow you may not see an issue..
Up here in Alberta they use gravel in the city (Edmonton) and gravel + salt on the highways during winter Take a look at the sandblasting effect seen on the Alpine White truck up in a previous post - that was after one winter! Even if you live in a place without these conditions you will end up seeing your clear coat fade slowly over time - just a lot slower than up here !
