Weasel will become famous soon enough
Can they seriously not figure out how to initialize the window's anti-trap? There's even a service function to do it in the diagnostic computer if you can't get it manually. From the sound of it the cable was ordered from Germany... we usually give the customer back their vehicle till it comes in as it takes so long.

waiting for the cable was only the problem for the first few weeks! getting past the window has been their problem for the last few. these dipsticks replaced the window motor & who knows what else.
the problem really is the techs and i know this for 3 reasons!
1.the 6 plus weeks they have been working on my cable & window that aint fixed yet!
2. they worked on my 535i so long that BMW bought it back & it was simple problems too.
3. the same clowns worked on my 750Li so long that BMW bought it back & again the problems were not things it would take NASA to figure out.

I'm not sure how you would go about calculating odds but i'd say that a group of competent techs wouldnt be stumped by the problems ive had & ive never heard of anyone getting 3 vehicles in a row from any manufacturer with problems that couldnt be fixed. My guess is my BMW store is in need of a complete new crew of techs to work on BMW's for them & the guys they have now should get a shovel & head to the horse stalls to do something they might could figure out.
