Active Ventilated Seat Package - is it really worth it?

Hello,

I've read in posts that people swear by this option. But I'm just wondering is it really worth the extra money? The Active Ventilated Seat Package is $1,900 but it requires you to also pay for Perforated Full Merino Leather at $3,800, so all inclusive this "upgraded seat" option is $5,700 extra!

I live in San Diego, so I really don't need the heated/cooled seat feature like probably those in other areas of the country with harsh winters and humid summers.

If the standard seats in the X5M are like the standard seats in my '02 M3, I think I would be just fine. But I wanted to hear from you all, why is it worth paying $5,700 extra for the "upgraded seats"?

Thanks!
