Headed back to the dealership.
- Engine Malfuntion - reduced power warning (running rough)
- key battery dead
- Rear hatch will not open automatically
- Excessive battery drain warning

Yeah. Can't wait.

Mine is a 9/2010 build as well. I have had my fair share of problems but not to your level. After BMW buying back my 2008 4.8 and getting me into this I feel I deserve a break but that is just plain ridiculous. I do love this car though and likley would get another. Be interesting to see if the 2012's are better overall or the same issues.

I am talking with BMW North America about what if anything can be done. I spoke with the service manager. This local BMW service department has been terrific. Only thing that bothered me was that I stated (to the service manager) I am hearing about a lot of issues with the X5M. He pretty much blew that off. I am not convinced. It sure feels like there have been a lot more complains than other new cars. I do really love this car. Just concerned that I am going to get out of warranty and continue to be dropping $300 here and $500 there. I should have leased it. Damn.
Even if they too
k it back I lose big. I have $5k in wheels. Plus another $5k in Passport 9500ic, Laser Interceptor, M3 on the entire front of the car, window tint, etc...

I actually have the car in the shop for the same battery issue. I was getting the increased battery discharge warning light. they so far found that a cable on the negative terminal was faulty and draining the battery. they have to replace the cable and the battery.

that may have been causing my other issues, we'll see.

car has had interesting issues, the first issue was the squeaking in the steering column, they had to realign the steering column, it was rubbing on something.

i swear i didn't have these issues with my BMWs made in germany.
