Looks very nice with black on blue.

I like the X6M style wheels on the X5M too.

I'm a huge fan of blackout grilles, those shots are a prim example of how the little touches (black grilles) totally change the face of the X!

I discovered them by selecting a regular X5 from the list of vehicles. Anyway, part numbers are:

51712150246
51712150247

One is for the left grille, one is for the right.

They should be available for the 2013 model. I assume it should fit the earlier models too.

Not sure about the pricing though.

I was browsing around and found at least three different companies that offer the black kidney grill for sale:

1. ECS
2. Umnitza
3. IND

The first two offer the matte finish and the 3rd one has a glossy product.

The owners that have done the swap, could you guys chime in and say why you went with one company over the other?

To my knowledge, ECS and IND use original BMW parts. You can also get from dealer since they are BMW parts.

I have both

Our "glossy" grilles are the genuine BMW ones, and the Matte finish are our ECS "blackout" grilles. HERE is a link to a custom cart with the gloss black grilles.

What brand are your grills and are they matte or glossy?

I'm trying to decide which ones to get and leaning towards glossy ones.

They are glossy, i'd go with that since the window trim is in a gloss black it matches. I got them from jlevi for my last x5 and transferred them on to the M.
