This site has been excellent. I appreciate the advice and info. I did OK in my trade. It has 43k miles and bald tires. I was able to keep my summer aftermarket rims and Passport 9500ic. They valued it at $57k. I had it on eBay at $60k with no hits. Probably could have put it completely back to stock, cleaned it up more with better pictures. But who has the time.
Vitamin, Curious on why the switch to a Cayenne? For me, I have always wanted a 911 but needed to fit kids in the car. With our nanny now, the kids are rarely in my car. I bought my wife an Audi TT and we are using her Mazda CX-9 for kid hauling. MFL101, Excellent. See you on the other side. Did you order one already or are you looking for something already out there. PM me if you want to talk. I can let you know how my experience was. BTW. The car is AWESOME!! I have 100 miles on it and will need new rear tires by the end of next week Marc |

I am about to order a '13 991S, just negotiating to make sure I am not getting taken...so far I am at 5% off MSRP and working them over I'll be expecting my new rig in August!

Test drove the 2 back in '09 and although the X5M won out because of a less cluttered interior, superior technology and significantly lower cost, I could never get the Cayenne out of my mind. The way it handled uneven roads and accelerated into and out of curves was more car like. Because of my garage situation I can only have 1 vehicle. Because of my family situation that vehicle needs to be an SUV. The latest generation Cayenne just accentuates the things I preferred about the Porsche. In addition the Cayenne gets better gas mileage and has a larger tank. This may mean little to some of you but being able to go 340 miles on a tank instead of 230 is an advantage to me.
Have enjoyed all 43,500 miles on the Blue Bomber, but am looking forward to the better handling, better sound system, and the better range of the Porsche. |

Yip - you'll enjoy her for sure. The large tank really is a plus, and the interior is functional and classy.
Cheers,

Wow what a weird post! i have both, a 2009 911 PDK with 10K miles, thinking HARD about a F430, but just got my X5M for 80K new 2011 loaded only option missing I think was the rear seat entertainment. Great car, I am driving the X5 M mostly, it just makes me smile. 3 weeks ago my brother came out and drove both. He was in love with the 911. Its violent in sports plus mode and 30mpg!!!
