MC blue is ///M exclusive.
2001 X5 Black
2005 X5 Sterling Grey - Loved that color
2008 X5 Black
2010 X6 Black
2013 X6 ///M will be grey

I briefly considered both the MC Blue and the Red. Although the Space Grey does nothing for me on the X5, it seems flat. I love it on the X6. It really shows the lines nicely and somehow the color looks more metallic.

Cheers,
Thank you, I promise plenty of pics. But I think Jan has me beat, I don't think I'll be able to replicate his pic below.

Jan - I remember seeing this picture. At the time I was trying to decide whether it made sense to get the M, you pushed me over the edge. Thank you sir

;-) always happy to push
Can't wait to see the new ride ! You'll love it, it's a great car and I enjoyed every minute driving it. I had a hard time deciding between the F10 M5 and a X6M , in the end I opted for the M5. Taking Euro Delivery on 10/1 , hopefully we'll all meet next spring in CT !! .
Likely also time to consider parting with the X5 as it's mostly sitting in the garage now

- Jan

There are 22 US bound F10 M5s being delivered on September 1 at the BMW Welt. It will be one busy day at the Welt....all the people who took advantage of Euro allocations, and some got them at $500 over invoice.

BTW, I admire your X5. How many miles did you put on it?

Yes 9/1 and 9/3 will be busy delivery dates
I take mine on 10/1 and two friends will come along (one is the General Manager of my BMW dealer and the other one the shop foreman ) , we'll be driving the major alp passes (Grossglockner, Cortina D'Ampezzo, Stelvio, Silvretta, Kochelsee etc).
Also have a factory tour for Dingolfing (where the M5 is produced) and a ///M Studio tour lined up. Should be a fun trip.

The X5 has 80k on it , just have to find the right enthusiast for it as it's still in pretty good condition

..........I know I've been MIA but what have you done? Great power move L. What's on the mod list? As great as M vehicles are, we enthusiast have a tendency to mod the Sh*t out of them.......never really figured that out .................Phil

What's up Phil? How is your ///M treating you?

No mods for me. It's pretty loaded. I can't imagine what else I need. And don't give me suggestions, she goes back in 3 years.

The only thing I'll be doing is getting a winter wheel set up. I want some good snow tires, hopefully on 255 19s. I know someone selling a set of style 232 19 inch X6 wheels but I'm apprehensive. Lots of people have said they should fit but I haven't heard any first hand experience. I can't exactly return them if they don't fit. Expensive mistake.

So if there are any fellow X6M owners out there that have 19s, please chime in. I'm waiting to hear back from the dealer. They have the 232s in stock and are waiting for an M to come in so they can try for me.

Production date Sept 3rd!

EDIT: Google is my friend. I found posts on another forum that said the only 19 inch wheels that will fit over the front brakes are style 298. They look pretty nice. It will cost more than the used 232s but as long as I can get 19s I'll be happy.

L, the ///M is wonderful And as for giving you ideas, let's see......I've seen a nice front lip .....ok I won't do that to you. The X6M is a beast....it was at the top of my list before I got the ///M3. I just couldn't justify the large profile vehicle. That was one of the reasons I got out of the X5. Plus the track bug got me bad....what can I say, I'm hooked. Try to keep your mind occupied and the wait time will fly by. Congrats and I'm now in the holding pattern with you......can't wait for photos ....................Phil
